A renewed confidence is sweeping across American workers as they plan for retirement, driven by active engagement with their retirement accounts and a fresh perspective on savings — viewing them as steady monthly income rather than one-time lump sums.
In fact, according to research from the Nationwide Retirement Institute, 65% of workers feel like they’re on track with their retirement plans, a notable increase from last year. Among younger employees (ages 22 – 34), this confidence soars to 71%, marking a significant 15-point jump since 2023.
