While a recent Northwestern Mutual study indicates a cautiously optimistic outlook on the U.S. economy, a seemingly contradictory trend has emerged: a record number of Americans (33%) report feeling financially insecure. To make matters worse, 54% of US adults believe a recession is coming this year.
