Since its inception in 2010, the Affordable Care Act (ACA) has been a catalyst for reducing uninsured rates among U.S. minority groups, creating significant market opportunities for licensed sales agents. From 2010 to 2022, the uninsured rate among Black Americans was nearly cut in half, from 20.9% to 10.8%. Similarly, Latinos saw their uninsured rates drop from 32.7% to 18%, and American Indians and Alaska Natives saw their uninsured rates drop from 32.4% to 19.9%.
